Allen C. Belot

Allen Belot joined the LMH Board of Trustees in September 2005. Belot lives in Lawrence and owns an architecture firm specializing in commercial architecture, zoning, planning and land development. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Douglas County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals as a member, vice-chairman and chairman from 1983 to 2003. Belot participated in the renovation of the Union Pacific Depot as Treasurer of the Depot Management Board. As an adjunct professor, he taught at the University of Kansas School of Architecture. Belot received a bachelor's degree in journalism from KU in 1970 and a master's degree in architecture from the University of Colorado/Boulder in 1975.
