Donna Lea Osness, Vice Chairperson
Donna Osness joined the LMH Board of Trustees in September 1997 and has a background in educational administration. Currently retired, Osness was an elementary school principal from 1990 to 2000. Prior to that, she served in the central school administration office for Shawnee Mission Schools, taught biology and science in junior high school and worked as a registered nurse. Osness serves on numerous civic boards such as the Douglas County Dental Board, Douglas County Community Health Improvement Project, the Partnership for Children and Youth, Health Care Access Board, City of Lawrence Alcohol Tax Board and Mother to Mother Board. She received a nursing degree from Madison General Hospital, Madison, Wis. Additionally, Osness holds a bachelor’s degree in physiology, cell biology and health education, a master’s degree in health education, and a doctorate in school administration. Osness currently chairs the Community Relations Committee for the LMH Board of Trustees and serves on the Planning, Governance and Medical Staff Committees. She is also on the ASC Board of Trustees.
