Overview

The mission of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association is to secure private gifts and financial support for medical education, research, land acquisition, and unique hospital programs; to guide the investment and disbursement of those funds for the support of Lawrence Memorial Hospital; and to help sustain Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a community hospital.

The Association also provides opportunities for people to share in the mission of the hospital through philanthropy. Although the Association is incorporated as a separate organization and is not involved in the administration or operation of the hospital, all Association policies are guided by the mission of the hospital, and the hospital’s dedication to excellence in health care for all people of Lawrence, Douglas County and surrounding communities.

The LMH Endowment Association's vision is to financially support an enhanced quality of life for those served by Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

To realize this mission and vision for the future, LMH is embarking on a $40 million campus expansion. The LMH Endowment Association has launched a capital campaign to raise a minimum of $8 million toward that effort.
