Karen Shumate, Vice President/Clinical Services

Shumate has administrative responsibility over Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Infection Control, accreditation, legal and regulatory affairs, Health Information Management Services, Social Services/Case Management, Pharmacy, Imaging Services, Breast Center, Laboratory, and Respiratory Therapy departments. Before joining LMH in 2000, her prior experience included work as Director of Quality/Risk Management/Corporate Compliance at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Ks. She is a member and past president of the Kansas Association of Risk and Quality Management and has served on the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Dental Clinic.
