Sheryl Jacobs was appointed to the LMH Board of Trustees in September 2002. She is a consultant in laboratory and blood center management. Jacobs has served as Vice President of BCA/hemerica, a cooperative of 31 community blood centers which represent one fourth of the nation's blood supply. Prior to joining BCA, she was Executive Director of the Kansas City Hospital Association and Senior Vice President of Business Development for LabOne, a Kansas City clinical laboratory providing testing services to the insurance industry and managed care organizations. Jacobs graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in political science and economics.
