Priority will be given to college student volunteers. These volunteers transport patients by wheelchair when being admitted, going from department to department for tests, or when being dismissed from the hospital. They also make deliveries through out the building and run errands. Excellent customer service skills are a must. As a lead escort, this volunteer will be responsible to train and mentor new volunteers.

Do you like making people feel more comfortable? the volunteers who serve as waiting room hosts will assist persons having procedures by providing information, support and comforting conversation. If you like meeting people and helping them as they wait for procedures, this may be the area for you.
Shifts avaialble Monday - Friday several time options avaialble. Let us know if you would like morning, afternoon or early evening hours.
LMH South GI Lab

LMH South GI-Lab – This is an active area for volunteers who want to keep busy and on the move. Volunteers assist the nurses in preparing rooms for patients, transporting patients by wheelchair and assisting waiting families. We have openings on
Mondays from 9 am. to noon or Mondays from noon to 3:00 pm.
Nursing Unit Volunteers

We are looking for self motivated, compassionate volunteers who are active and able to assist on the nursing units. Duties may include: assisting patients with non-medical needs such as opening food containers, getting blankets, and setting up rooms to be ready for new patients, transporting patients by wheelchair, delivering specimens to the lab.
Shifts are available:
Wednesday or Friday morning from 9am to noon or
afternoon from noon to 4 pm.
Nursing Unit positions require a high degree of maturity and commitment. Applicants under the age of 21 years will not be considered for these positions.

Do you want to get your exercise and still contribute as a volunteer? Are you a detail person? A volunteer is needed to pick up mail from the hospital mail room and deliver it to hospital departments by cart. Volunteer must be able to read, alphabetize and learn their way through the hospital.
