Lawrence Memorial Hospital (LMH) is a 173-bed community hospital owned by the City of Lawrence, Kansas. It is licensed for 146 acute care beds, 18 rehab and 12 skilled nursing facility beds.


The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and the Commission for Acute Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). LMH receives no tax support from the city or county and serves the community's health care needs regardless of individuals' ability to pay. Dedicated to improving the health of the community, as a not-for-profit hospital LMH invests all excess revenues in services, equipment and facilities which further that mission.
