Phase One (Fall 2006 - Summer 2007)

Construction began in October 2006 with work on expanding hospital infrastructure with additional mechanical and electrical capacities with a modern power plant to support the needs of the expanded facility. This 9,000-square-foot expansion is being constructed adjacent to the southeast corner of the hospital. Work is expected to be completed in August 2007.

Phase 1 also includes a 19,000-square-foot addition being built above the second floor on the west side of the hospital. This new area will be half the size of the existing third floor and will house 18 new private patient rooms and two nurses? stations. The Intensive Care Unit will temporarily relocate to this new space in the summer of 2007 when expansion of existing ICU begins on the East Tower.
