Nutrition

Malnutrition is common among cancer patients. Early nutrition intervention and provision of adequate calories, protein, fluid, vitamins and minerals is necessary to prevent weight loss, nutrient deficiencies, and replete nutritional stores. Good nutrition can also result in a better response to cancer therapy.

A registered dietitian is available to oncology clinic patients to assist in managing their nutritional health.
