Dr. Schwartz completed bachelor’s degrees in life sciences and biological sciences at Kansas State University and did graduate biology work at the University of Kansas before attending medical school at University of Kansas School of Medicine at Kansas City. He interned in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Tulsa and also completed residency training there. He then did a hematology/oncology fellowship at Wake Forrest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is married to Raonak Ekram, M.D.
