Sharon E. Soule, M.D.
Hematologist/Oncologist

Dr. Soule received her fellowship in hematology/oncology in 2002 and immediately became an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Indiana University. While at Indiana, she was a member of the Breast Cancer Program and her research and clinical time focused on the treatment of patients with breast cancer. In addition, she served as the Director of Medical Oncology at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.

Dr. Soule has authored seven abstracts for presentations at national oncology meetings, including an oral presentation at the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting in 2002. She has written and served as the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials for new therapies for breast cancer. In addition, Dr. Soule has published several articles on treatments for cancer. She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

After receiving a B.A. in chemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, MN in 1992, Dr. Soule attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating with an M.D. in 1996. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She served as an emergency physician for several hospitals in Iowa during her residency.

Dr. Soule was born in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School. She resides in Lawrence. Her hobbies include cooking, swimming and music.
