Dr. Stein came to Lawrence in 1983 after completing his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in
oncology and hematology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He is board certified in both internal medicine and oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine with recent recertification.

After 18 years in private practice of oncology, hematology and internal medicine at Lawrence Internal Medicine Associates, Dr. Stein accepted a position to join The Oncology Center at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in 2001, where he continues to practice in oncology and hematology.

Dr. Stein is delighted to be a part of the team of professionals and volunteers who serve cancer and hematology patients. He truly believes success and ongoing growth of The Oncology Center is the result of a team that works together and respects each other and the patients they see every day.
