Tumor Conference

Our physicians participate in a weekly inter-disciplinary tumor conference in which cases are presented and discussed in order to develop a tailored and coordinated treatment program. With simultaneous input from physicians representing multiple specialties, a tumor conference setting affords the opportunity to receive several expert opinions in an interactive forum. Additionally, the delivery of care is more integrated among the involved physicians since each member of the team can conceptualize the overall treatment plan.

Currently the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Oncology Center has a weekly conference schedule which includes:

• Breast cancer and general tumor conference at LMH
• General tumor conference via satellite with the University of Kansas Medical Center
