Kreider Rehabilitation Services offers aquatic therapy for children and adults in one-on-one therapy sessions. Aquatic therapy uses the physical properties of water coupled with proven therapy techniques to assist patients in healing and exercise performance.
You don't have to be a swimmer to benefit from exercise in the water. While submerged your body is supported and the water's buoyancy helps decrease the amount of the force of stress placed on the joints.
The pool offers a zero-depth entry and is filled with warm water. All adaptive equipment is provided.

Aquatic Exercise
In partnership with Lawrence Parks and Recreation, Kreider Rehabilitation Services offers the following classes at the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center. These group classes are taught by licensed clinicians. Please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.
Aqua Fit
This class uses the effects of water to help you get back on your feet after a recent surgery or chronic illness. If you have experienced a decrease in flexibility, strength, endurance or balance, water exercise offers you a safe environment to regain your prior level of fitness.
Jivin' Joints
This is a certified Arthritis Foundation water exercise class. This class offers gentle range of motion and endurance activities in warm water with guidance from a trained instructor. If you have any form of arthritis or related condition, you may benefit from this program. Water is a safe, ideal environment allowing you to exercise without putting excess strain on your joints and muscles.
