Lawrence Memorial Hospital and our clinics welcome many different types of volunteers:

 

Adult Volunteers 

  • 18 years or older and no longer in school
  • Must commit to at least 40-hours of service
  • Available at least two hours per week
  • Must attend an orientation session
  • TB skin testing and flu shot are required for all volunteers and will be done for free with orientation.

 

College Student Volunteers 

  • Students 18 years of age and older and enrolled in a college program
  • We welcome students studying all degrees, especially those interested in a career in healthcare.
  • Available at least two hours per week
  • Must attend an orientation session
  • Must commit to at least 40-hours of service
  • TB skin testing and flu shot are required for all volunteers and will be done for free with orientation.

 

Junior Volunteers

  • Must be 14 to 18 years old and yet to graduate high school
  • Parental consent to volunteer is required for volunteers under 18 years old
  • Must begin volunteering during summer months. Find out more about our summer junior volunteer program.
  • Available at least three hours per week
  • Are not required to volunteer during the school year, although some placements are available.
  • Must attend an orientation session at the beginning of the summer program.
  • TB skin testing and flu shot are required for all volunteers and will be done for free with orientation.
