Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
After a cardiac event such as angina, heart attack, bypass surgery, valve surgery or angioplasty, your goal – and ours – is your return to optimal health. Our team of registered nurses, exercise physiologists and nutritionists can help you maximize your ability to fully participate in life.
The LMH Cardiac Rehabilitation program is medically supervised by our cardiologists to help you recover quickly and to stabilize, slow or reverse the progression of your disease. Your customized rehabilitation program may include:
- Education to help you better understand and manage your condition, including medication counseling
- An exercise program
- Nutrition counseling
- Strategies to help you modify risk factors, such as high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol, physical inactivity, obesity and diabetes
- Return-to-work guidance
- Emotional support
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The AACVPR awards this certification only to those programs that meet their rigorous requirements for standards of care.
