Dr. Heeb is certified by the American Board of Urology and has been in urological practice in Lawrence since 1997. After earning his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City in 1992, he performed his surgical internship at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City (1992-1994) and completed specialty training in urological surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1997.
Dr. Heeb was a pioneer in the use of the Greenlight Laser for treatment of enlarged prostate (BPH). He was the first private practice physician to use the laser in the Midwestern United States in 2002 (when it was called the Niagara laser). Since then, he has successfully performed several hundred laser procedures and trained a number of other physicians in the technique.
Dr. Heeb's other primary areas of expertise include the evaluation and treatment of female pelvic floor prolapse and urinary incontinence, prostate cancer, kidney stones, and general urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the South Central Section of the AUA, the American Medical Association, the Kansas City Urological Society, and the Douglas County Medical Society. He served as Chief of Surgery at Lawrence Memorial Hospital from 2002 to 2004.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, Dr. Klingler earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas in 1997, then completed a one-year surgical internship at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. He completed his urology training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005 and practiced urology in Dallas, Texas until 2007, when he moved back to Kansas and joined Lawrence Urology Specialists (formerly Lawrence Urology). Dr. Klingler is certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association, the South Central Section of the AUA, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
Kathy Ramirez joined Lawrence Urology Specialists in 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nursing, both from Washburn University in Topeka. Before joining Lawrence Urology Specialists, she worked as a pre- and post-operative nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She is member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Phi Kappa Phi honor society and Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing.
