What is the phone/fax number for the Business Office?

Will OrthoKansas obtain pre-authorization for me?
Yes. OrthoKansas will obtain pre-authorization although this does not guarantee payment.

What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Monthly payment plans are also available.

When is my co-pay due?
Co-pays are due at the time of service.

Why did my payment not show up on my statement last month?
In our system, whenever a payment covers an entire charge, then neither the charge nor the payment will show up on your statement.

Why did I receive a bill from the Lawrence Surgery Center, Anesthesiologist, and OrthoKansas, LLC?
All three of these entities are separate so a bill is owed to each one when surgery is the required treatment. If you have questions about any of these bills, please consult the respected entity.

I have a questioning concerning my therapy bill?
Please contact the Physical Therapy Billing Coordinator at 785-838-7842 for any questions regarding your therapy account.

What should I do if I have injured myself at work?
You must report the incident to your employer and file a first report of injury with the company's worker's compensation insurance agency. At such time a claims specialist will be assigned to you to oversee your care. The course of treatment, including diagnostic tests and or surgeries will need prior approval by your claims adjuster.

I was in a motor vehicle accident do not understand why I must file a claim with my insurance company when the other party was at fault?
The State of Kansas is a "no fault" state. If you are a titled owner of a vehicle you are required by law to file a claim with your own insurance company. They will pay for medical treatment up to the maximum amount allowed on your policy. At such time the liability will be transferred to the other party.
