LMH Sports Care

Athletic Trainers for High School & Collegiate Athletes

LMH Sports Care provides athletic trainers to the following schools:

  • Lawrence Free State High School
  • Lawrence High School
  • Eudora High School
  • Baldwin City High School
  • Tonganoxie High School
  • Basehor-Linwood High School
  • Leavenworth High School

Our athletic trainers also cover some events for Perry-Lecompton and McLouth high schools, and they staff Kansas Jayhawks Rugby Football Club practices and games.

Our athletic trainers work with coaches to ensure a safe environment for student-athletes. They quickly and professionally triage injuries and communicate with the athletes’ families.

Our athletic trainers care for student-athletes – in the training room, at practices and during games.

For more information about Sports Care, call 785-505-5840.

“Coaches are not trained medical professionals. The athletic trainers help identify and care for injuries, and provide communication between student, coach, family and physician. It’s worked extraordinarily well, and continues to be an asset for our school and our kids.”

— Mike Hill, athletic director, Lawrence Free State High School

Sports Injury Clinics

LMH Sports Care and OrthoKansas have teamed up to offer Saturday morning Sports Injury Clinics during each fall athletic season for athletes who sustain acute injuries. These clinics are designed to determine treatment needs/return to play for injuries that occur that same week as the Saturday clinic visit.

While actual dates of operation vary by school year, our Saturday Sports Injury Clinics typically start the Saturday after Labor Day and go through the last Saturday of October each year. No appointment is required—doors open at 7:30 a.m., and student-athletes will be seen on a first-come-first-served basis between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. To be seen in the clinic, student-athletes must have a photo ID and insurance card, and a parent or guardian must be present.
