Interventional Cardiologist

Lawrence Memorial Hospital, a community-based hospital, is seeking a board certified/eligible, Invasive Cardiologist to join Cardiovascular Specialist of Lawrence. The successful candidate will be part of a team that includes Board Certified cardiologists with specialties in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Call rotation is 1 in 6.

  • Board certified in cardiology
  • Board eligible/certified in interventional cardiology
  • 2+ Years of experience doing interventions
  • Experience doing offsite interventions
  • Will see clinic patients
  • Average one in three call for interventions

LMH is a not-for-profit health care provider, serving a regional market in northeast Kansas.  Our 173-bed, acute care hospital has nearly 8,000 inpatient discharges and 166,000 outpatient visits annually.  There are 16 affiliated primary and specialty care physician practices throughout Douglas, Leavenworth, and Jefferson counties.  

LMH is staffed 24/7 with both Board Certified Hospitalists and Emergency Medicine Physicians. It has 173 beds, acute care hospital has nearly 8,000 inpatient discharges and 166,000 outpatient visits annually.  There are 18 affiliated primary and specialty care physician practices throughout Douglas, Leavenworth, and Jefferson counties.  LMH recently underwent a $45 million dollar expansion, which included a new Emergency Department and the renovation and expansion of the Critical Care Unit, a new Emergency Department and Surgery Department, the renovation and expansion of the, Medical Nursing Unit and the addition of a new Surgical Nursing Unit. Lawrence is the county seat of Douglas County which has a population of over 112,000. It is located 45 miles from Kansas City and about 30 miles from Topeka, the state capital. It is a city rich in arts, culture and history. Boaters, golfers, hikers, birdwatchers and bikers can find challenging recreational opportunities for the whole family with more than 50 local parks and Clinton Lake state park.

The Lawrence school district is a top 10 metro school district and the seventh largest in the state. In addition, Lawrence is home to the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University; with several small public and private universities within a 60 mile radius.
