Vaccine guidance update
Federal health agencies updated childhood vaccine recommendations in January 2026. Fewer vaccines are now universally advised for all children.
Several—including influenza, hepatitis A and B, RSV, meningococcal, rotavirus and COVID-19—fall under a “shared clinical decision-making” approach. These changes have sparked discussion among families and health professionals.
Our stance:
LMH Health values these conversations and remains committed to informed, patient-centered care. Vaccines continue to be a proven tool for protecting health.
We support physicians who follow guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. This approach reflects national best practices and prioritizes evidence-based care and patient trust.
