I'll never forget your faces and your hearts
I just want to say thank you to the people on 2-North at LMH who spent over two weeks with my loved one, Whitney. Thank you, Drs. Konie and Kimball, thank you nurses (Rebecca, Tiana, Tracy, Corey, Kathy, Connie), palliative nurse Tracy, the several CNAs who came in to ensure Whitney was propped up all the times I asked and then some, the front desk person Kyleigh and the social worker Michelle. And a special thank you to the physician’s assistant (Kristen) who spent so much time answering my questions.
Another special thank you to Julianne (in partnership with the hospital), to whom I outreached for resources and who has always been incredible. I know there are folks whose names I’m forgetting, but I’ll never forget your faces and I’ll never forget your hearts. Whitney is at home, in his own room, in his own bed. And I couldn’t have gotten him back there in good health without each of you. I’ll never be able to repay you what Whitney’s life is worth to me. Thank you so much!
Love, Marren and Whitney
