February is American Heart Month and in particular, Women's Heart Health Month. Today is National Wear Red Day, where people around the country wear red to bring awareness of heart disease and stroke. Listen in as Hank talks with: 

  • Dr. Elizabeth Guastello and Lauren Perez, Cardiovascular Specialists of Lawrence: Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women. Dr. Guastello and Lauren discuss the signs you should be on the lookout for and share a reminder that it's important to seek immediate care, even in the midst of a pandemic. 
  • Erica Hill, LMH Health Director of Health Equity, Inclusion & Diversity: We celebrate Black History Month each February and Erica joins UHank to talk about the importance of Black History Month as it relates to healthcare, health disparities and health equity.
  • Leann Dickson, Cardiac Rehab: Leann joins Hank to talk about LMH Health's Cardiac Rehabilitation program and the importance it plays in helping patients recover after a serious heart health event.
