LMH Health welcomes Thomas Deskin, MD

LMH Health welcomes Dr. Thomas Deskin, an occupational medicine physician located at LMH Health Workplace Wellness. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners – DOT, and as an Aviation Medical Examiner - AME. 

Dr. Deskin was an ER physician for 28 years before shifting to occupational medicine. He is committed to enhancing the relationship between work and health, aiming to prevent work-related injuries and facilitating a safe return to work for injured employees.

“I believe in focusing on the care provided to employees. Keeping them healthy and working is not only good for the employees and their families, but it is also beneficial for the companies and our community as a whole,” he said.

In his role at LMH Health, Dr. Deskin provides services including:

• Department of Transportation examinations
• FAA examinations
• Fitness for duty examinations
• Pre-employment physicals
• Work-related injury treatment

Dr. Deskin earned his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico. He earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
