Christopher J. Brychel, MD

Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine

Accepting new patients.

“I try to establish a rapport with my patients by first asking open-ended questions. Once they open up, there is a much more meaningful clinical relationship.”

Dr. Brychel, a board-certified internal medicine doctor who specializes in infectious diseases, was born and raised in Lenexa and is happy to be back in Kansas. After playing intercollegiate baseball at Fort Scott Community College and Baker University, he completed a bachelor’s degree at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, and earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has practiced in Los Angeles the past five years.

Dr. Brychel says that transparency between a patient and physician is very important. He believes that when there is a genuine relationship and understanding between them, the patient will receive the best care.
