Everyone's wonderful.

Dr Kumar went beyond the actual appointment in that he treated a different problem that he saw: I went in to ask questions about a pre-existing condition. As I was sporting a black eye from tripping and falling the day before, he explained that my use of Coumadin put me at risk of intracranial bleeding, and scheduled me for an immediate CT scan. It seemed slightly overkill to me, but he's the doctor, so I went along with it. However, considering the colorful progress of the black eye over the past three or four days, I now understand his concern. (I have never previously experienced any bleeding from taking Coumadin; in fact, I have been bruising less than previously since I started taking it. Go figure!) I greatly appreciate his concern and attention to this.

I had a test performed. Dr. Kumar did not say anything except that the test was normal and he would send the results to to my referring doctor. No explanation of how the test works or what information the test gives him.

This provider already had an idea what was wrong before I walked in but asked me what I thought was wrong before telling me what was wrong fortunately we agreed.
