“I enjoy the relationships with my patients. It’s wonderful to watch people improve their health and have improvement of symptoms and disease. It’s an honor and I’m very grateful for that. It’s those moments that give me the most satisfaction and joy in my work.”
Dr. Stuart Thomas is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco and a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
“The most compelling reason I chose gastroenterology is because of how satisfying it is to see people’s lives improve when their symptoms improve,” he said. “The symptoms of GI tract can be awful and debilitating. It’s very rewarding to see my patients improve over time.”
Dr. Thomas is also the Chief Medical Officer for LMH Health. "My emphasis is on good communication, transparency and building a sense of common purpose across the hospital and medical staff - reinforcing a sense of ‘us,’” he said. “I’m excited to work with providers, staff and leadership to improve services by building upon the collegiality that is already a strong point for our hospital.”
