Provider Review Comments

He is a holistic doctor who is hesitant to medicate patients. I appreciate the books and alternative solutions he provides.. Overmedication has caused me problems in the past.

We were well pleased with the whole appointment

good experience

The physician used excellent patient management skills in acknowledging my concerns and questions, sometimes giving a short answer by stating we would discuss the point more fully later in the appointment. He either returned to those points or addressed any questions I restated by the end of the session. He understood and addressed my main concerns and questions well. There were 2 or 3 points for which he assumed he understood my point and answered without hearing a detail for which he might have answered somewhat differently. I waited until the end of the appointment to get any clarification I still considered material. There was precisely one comment that had a slightly surprising tone of superiority, but it did no harm. In a very long session, this was the only brief slightly negative experience in an overwhelmingly superior, sustained conversation.

We hardly accomplished anything during my appointment because Dr. Beck talked so much. Things I said were dismissed before I could explain them, he interrupted me frequently, he wouldn't listen, and he talked about areas of medicine that are not his specialty, contradicting what specialists in those fields have told me. For some reason he looked at my spouse while he talked the entire time which made us both uncomfortable.
