LMH Health Leadership Academy
Are you interested in developing leadership skills that will set you apart from others? Curious about exploring different career paths and learning how professionals lead in real-world settings—all while getting paid? If so, then the Leadership Academy is for YOU!
The Academy engages high school juniors and seniors in experiences that give them a jump start in pursuit of careers including healthcare administration, medicine, allied health and governance. All students, including those from under-represented demographics, are encouraged to apply. The Academy is an in-person program and attendance is required.
LMH Health Internship
Those selected can expect to spend time connecting with mentors who can offer guidance, advice, and encouragement in pursuing a career in healthcare and spend time shadowing healthcare executives to observe and participate in their daily routines. Students will be given opportunities to interact with staff and medical professionals while developing and exercising effective communication skills. During this program, students will experience the fast paced and sometimes challenging environment of a hospital and gain valuable insights into the realities of a career in healthcare.
