The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at LMH Health in Lawrence, Kansas, helps pharmacy graduates build advanced clinical, leadership and patient care skills in a community-focused health system. About the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program

The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at LMH Health builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education to help residents grow into confident, patient-centered pharmacists. Through hands-on learning across a variety of care settings, residents strengthen their clinical knowledge, leadership skills and practice management experience. Graduates are prepared to provide high-quality patient care, pursue board certification and continue advanced training, including PGY2 residency opportunities.

How to Apply

Review the application requirements for the LMH Health PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program. LMH Health recruits two PGY1 pharmacy residents each year, and applicants must be eligible for Kansas pharmacist licensure. Download Application Checklist and Program Information Packet (pdf)

  • Complete the online PhORCAS Application and include:
    • Letter of intent*
    • Curriculum vitae*
    • Three letters of recommendation
    • At least one letter should be from an APPE direct patient care preceptor.

Estimated Stipend & Benefits

Estimated stipend: $52,000
Benefits: Travel to required professional meetings. Residents accrue about 22 days of paid time off and may elect health, dental and vision insurance, a flexible spending account or health savings account, and discounts with local and national retailers.
