Penny Jones Open Golf Tournament

2020 tournament cancelled due to COVID-19

Dear friends,

As you know, we have been watching the evolving COVID-19 situation as it relates to the Penny Jones golf tournament. Our event co-chairs, LMH Health physicians Dr. Steve Myrick and Dr. Luis Salazar, have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s tournament. The health and safety of our community members—including each of you—are our priority, and we believe this is the right thing to do.

Although we will not host Penny Jones, we are very much looking forward to our Hearts of Gold virtual event on October 17, which will support the same initiative: patient-centered technology, including surgical robots and a second cath lab for LMH Health. We will share more information about Hearts of Gold soon, and you can stay up-to-date on all of our events here on our website.

Thank you for supporting your nonprofit community hospital, which is more important now than ever before.

Rebecca Smith, Executive Director, LMH Health Foundation & VP - Strategic Communications, LMH Health

Thank you, golfers!

On behalf of LMH Health Foundation, thank you for joining us at the 2019 Penny Jones Open Golf Tournament! We are pleased to announce that with your help, the tournament raised over $100,000. Proceeds from the event made possible the purchase of all new EKG machines for LMH Health.

We’d also like to thank all of our sponsors, including McDonald’s, Hog Wild Pit BBQ, and O'Malley Beverage for the great food and drink, and Lake Quivira Country Club for prizes.
