LMH Health's Integrated Crisis Team and Behavioral Health Crisis Services are available 24/7 to assist you.

Behavioral Health Partners

At LMH Health, our purpose is to be your partner for lifelong health. Focusing on your behavioral health is part of that purpose and we’re striving to better integrate it into our system.

Through our Integrated Crisis Team, LMH Health collaborates with Douglas County and several area agencies to help connect residents with appropriate services. You may receive a referral to any of these services.

Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center

Bert Nash provides 24/7 emergency services in Douglas County. Bert Nash also offers:

  • Outpatient therapy for adults, children and families
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy

DCCCA facilitates access to social detox services for Douglas County residents. It offers:

  • Outpatient services
  • Prevention services

Heartland Community Health Center

Heartland Community Health Center is a federally qualified health center with high-quality, affordable and integrated health care that is provided regardless of their patients’ income or insurance status. Heartland offers:

Intensive Care Coordination services with Heartland RADAC connects clients coming to our emergency department with community resources such as:

  • Mental health services
  • Substance abuse treatment

Headquarters Counseling Center

If you need crisis counseling, call Headquarters 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Counselors help with any concern you have about suicide – concern for yourself, someone else, or someone you’ve lost. Regardless of the problems you’re dealing with, you’ll speak with a caring, highly trained counselor – at no charge.

Lawrence Community Shelter

The Lawrence Community Shelter is the only emergency homeless shelter serving Lawrence and Douglas County. The shelter offers:

  • Beds and meals
  • Employment program
  • Housing assistance
  • Medical services

Willow Domestic Violence Center


The Willow Domestic Violence Center works to eliminate family and domestic violence in the community. The center provides free, confidential services to all residents of Douglas, Franklin and Jefferson counties. Services include:

  • Safe shelter
  • Crisis assistance
  • Transitional support
  • Community outreach and education
  • Human trafficking services
