AstraZeneca issues recall notice for some Airsupra inhalers

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, the maker of the inhalation medication AIRSUPRA® (albuterol and budesonide) aerosol, has initiated a voluntary recall for their product. This recall is effective immediately and involves multiple product lots.

The recalled inhalers might not work properly. A defect in the delivery system of these inhalers has been identified, which may hinder the proper administration of the medication needed for effective asthma control.

If you use this product, please check your inhaler to see if its lot number is included.  

If your inhaler is included in the recall, please contact your Primary Care clinic as soon as possible if you do not have a back-up emergency or quick relief inhaler.
