LMH Health nationally recognized for excellence in care

LMH Health has earned national recognition from the American Heart Association (AHA) for delivering fast, evidence-based care. These include multiple honors from the AHA Get With The Guidelines® program, including the:

  • Stroke Silver Plus Achievement Award
  • Resuscitation – Pediatric Silver Achievement Award
  • Resuscitation - Adult Bronze Achievement Award

Get With the Guidelines puts the expertise of the AHA to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest research and evidence-based guidelines. Hospitals improve stroke care through a collaboration with the American Stroke Association by promoting consistent adherence to these guidelines, which can minimize the long-term effects of stroke and even prevent death.

The Get With The Guidelines - Resuscitation program was developed to help save lives of patients who experience in-hospital cardiac arrests by consistently following the most up-to-date research-based guidelines for treatment as outlined by the AHA. These guidelines include following protocols for patient safety, medical emergency team response, effective and timely resuscitation (CPR) and post-resuscitation care.

“LMH Health is committed to improving patient care by adhering to the latest treatment guidelines,” said Rachel Lynch, LMH Health Director of Organizational Outcomes. “Get With the Guidelines makes it easier for our teams to put proven knowledge and guidelines to work on a daily basis, which studies show can help patients recover better. The end goal is to ensure more people in Douglas County and the surrounding region can experience longer, healthier lives.”
