Lifetime Breast Cancer Risk Assessment
The LMH Health Women’s Center works in hand in hand with LMH Health Imaging and the LMH Health Cancer Center to identify lifetime breast cancer risk.
- Prior to your mammogram, you’ll work one-on-one with mammography technologist to complete a risk assessment form.
- Your mammogram images will be reviewed by one of our board-certified radiologists.
- If your assessment shows a 20% or greater lifetime risk for developing breast cancer, you’ll receive a referral to the LMH High Risk Breast Program where you will seen biannually by a Medical Oncologist and a Breast Surgeon with the goal of reducing your
risk of developing breast cancer.
Can’t Afford a Mammogram?
Our goal is to ensure that every woman age 40 and up has affordable access to regular screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms when necessary. This includes providing financial assistance options for low-income women who are uninsured or underinsured. The Cancer Survivorship Program at LMH Health Cancer Center offers dedicated staff to work with you and your primary care doctor to keep your screenings up to date, manage ongoing side effects of treatment, and help you navigate life after cancer treatment.

Meet Our Care Team
Jennifer A. Hawasli, MD, FACS
Breast Surgery
Jennifer Hawasli, MD, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and her fellowship in Oncological Breast Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hawasli focuses mostly on breast cancer, but also sees patients with benign breast disease and patients at higher risk of breast cancer to make sure it is caught early on when it is still very treatable. She says the comprehensive care and tools LMH Health offers for oncology patients is just one reason she recommends Lawrence Breast Specialists.
“My philosophy of care is truly about giving my patients power over their diagnosis. I want my patients to know about the disease, how we treat it and outcomes from those treatments.”
Dr. Hawasli is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, Association of Women Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
Natalie Gepford, APRN, CNM, MSN
Gynecology
Natalie Gepford, MSN, CNM, APRN, earned her nursing degree from Baker University and her master's degree from Frontier University in Hyden, KY where she also earned a post-master’s certificate in women's health. Gepford is an active member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
