Biography

Patrick Harper, MD, received his bachelor’s degree in respiratory care from the University of Kansas and earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Harper remembers being interested in the medical field in elementary school. He was fascinated by the science of it and wanted to do something to help other people.

Harper completed his residency in anesthesiology and his fellowship in pain management at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is excited to be back in the Lawrence community and in Jayhawk nation. Harper is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society and American Society of Anesthesiologists. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, sailing and spending time with his wife and three children.
